Live your dreams. I took this advice to heart by coming to AIESEC Baroda on a CEED as I have wanted to accomplish this goal for two years. I knew that coming on a CEED would be an amazing experience that would not only allow me to learn more about the culture of another country, more about what I was passionate about and learn more about AIESEC. But I had no idea about how wonderful a CEED at AIESEC Baroda would be.
In the process of a month and a half I’ve accomplished more that I thought was humanly possible. I’ve stretched my limits of what I thought I could do and most importantly my mind has opened up to a world of possibilities that I never knew existed for me. I have been to six cities in India, a national conference, LCP summit, assisted with a large scale recruitment project, become a member of an organizing committee conference, organizing committee of a local Global Village, met people from all over the world and have had lots of fun in the process. I’ve also had the pleasure of falling in love with Indian cuisine, kourtas, Bollywood, and internet cafes.
One of the many strengths of AIESEC Baroda is that it is well networked within the international community of AIESEC. As a result, I have three other ceeders here with me that have proven to be a wonderful part of my ceed. I’m working and living with great individuals from the UK, US, and France. It’s amazing to be a part of people that are going through a similar experience as you are. Also, there are many trainees at AIESEC Baroda so there’s also a chance to meet many people from all over the world. I’ve met people from Poland, Germany, Iceland, Netherlands, and Japan.
Life has proven to be an adventure everyday at AIESEC Baroda. Every day provides me with memories that I will look back to when I am in Canada and feel absolutely grateful I came to AIESEC Baroda on a CEED. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone who is adventurous, passionate about AIESEC, and loves to have a great time. Its been a crazy ride and there are some more crazy adventures that are yet to come as I’m here till the end of August.
